This is what I was bitten by in Paris.

I’m 99.99% sure, although I am no doctor, and it’s so recent (since 2007, it’s been identified in Chicago), that no one really knows about it.

The signs were too similar:

If they are, it\’d be scabies and you\’d have UNBEARABLE itching at night. You need to buy a special cream, and hot wash everything before and after

What I have is not scabies, but mites. Which are kind of similar..
