I've seen those in Macy's stores too!

Also, I think I've seen them in airports…and they might have book vending machines in airports, too.

Colour me stupid but I wouldn’t wear shoes out that I couldn’t last in… I’m all about comfort!!! lol!! Interesting idea, but the only things I buy from vending machines are cold drinks.

Macy's stores in the US have technology vending machines located in the mens sections. They feature iPods, cameras, headphones, etc. I don't know anyone that's ever bought anything from one before, but it seems like an easy way to pick up something you may have forgotten at home or an impulse gift buy.

I can't wait for the widespread ability to pay for things with RFID chips in cell phones!

The shoes are genius! Sometimes I go out in shoes that are fine for everyday erranding and I've worn dozens of times but it turns out are horrible for sustained walking.

RFID chips would be great. maybe not in my cellphone because i am notorious for leaving it at home, turned off or dead.. :\ .. but I do like the PayPass swipe on my credit card

I second the ballet flat idea. It’s great for clubbers, and office girls who break a heel..

But it makes me want to pack an extra pair of ballet flats for that reason!
