For people who get paid bi- monthly OR every two weeks, sometimes they're all about waiting for that Christmas bonus, which can hit whenever, in order to actually PAY for Christmas. Sometimes it's about the cash flow.

Forgot to post in time, or the handmade gift took longer than it should: just send a card first class, with a note saying the gift is following. Maybe a clue for kids. Adults should get it, kids get an extra christmas day. No biggie.

Good call. As long as you haven't really worn them :)

And you get to make someone happy!

Booze is the best gift of all, perhaps!

Not for me, unfortunately.. but a little chocolate will cure that.

Go for it. Regifting rocks.

I actually like it. It makes me feel good that people didn't have to spend money to get me something I loved :)

I might do some regifting this year, I received some house decor items that are totally not my style. Plus our tiny house is too cluttered as it is. They are still in the gift bag they came in, I think my mom would like them and she is building that new house. Look at it another way, it's a green choice. Isn't it better to give away something that you will never use to someone who might appreciate it? But don't do it too often, that's just cheap. I would still buy my mom a few things as well, the regifts would be a bonus.

I'm guilty of the "The Perfect Gift Fallacy" - whenever I try to do my holiday shopping early in the year, I always find something better around late Nov or early Dec.

I'm regifting two things this year. They're brand new items that I bought for myself, but I didn't like them anymore after I tried them on again when I got home. I either misplaced the receipt or waited to long to return the item, so I'll gift them.

We've decided to take a cue from the craptastic economy and pare down the gifts this year. It's going to be more about spending time with each other. And a few bottles of booze of course. Ah ha ha
