These houses are sick, but are they all real or are some concepts? I googled the Dubai building and it doesn't appear to be an actuality yet, just in the process.

That last one is just adorable and amazing. As a Tolkien fan I'd LOVE to live in a place like that. SO COOL.

Some are concepts like the Dubai one, but the rest are real from what I understand.

Did you take a look at the total house tour? It was crazy.

Those are pretty cool! I like the twisted one from Poland.
We have a number of unusual homes out here, google Earthship
Hopefully within a year I'll have enough saved for a down payment on some land near Santa Fe and I'll start building my own house out of rammed earth. I want a more traditional passive solar design but that medium is only limited by your imagination. Theres some amazing rammed earth buildings out there.

I live about 45 minutes from the Longaberger building (which is the basket) and have never been there. I do own a lot of their pottery and a few of their baskets, though.

The rotating tower is mindboggling. Not sure if I would want to live in it. I remember seeing those cubic houses in The Netherlands. I believe they're in Rotterdam – not sure though. I always wondered how people lived in there! Must be tiny.

Oh I love these. You should google the site "Oddee" if you haven't already. They have tons of neat things like this.

There's one of those cube houses in Toronto, by the Gardiner (near where it begins). You can see it on Google Maps with their new street view of Toronto, but that link was huge (and I'm not sure if these comments can have embedded links), so check out a picture instead: http://www.boldts.net/album/CubeHouse.shtml
It's not that pretty though.

I saw a show on the Discovery Channel about the Dubai rotating tower. It's really odd to think about a building that is constantly moving that you could live in. Weird. I really love the outside of the Kansas City library. Roadtrip?

These are super! They just made my day.
I think I'll be re-posting these someday.
I simply cannot pick a favorite. They are all gorgeous!

I saw the turning tower in Dubai being built on TV. That was really neat to see being built. I'd be scared to own a top story of that place.
I really like the crooked house in Poland. That is too cool! Reminds me of the Dr. Suessville houses.

The basket building is the Longaberger headquarters in Newark, Ohio.

I still love that house in Wales. I remember when you posted about it started to dream about it… I can't imagine living in that rotating condo in Dubai. I guess you would always have a view of everything in that one! It would be good for Toronto waterfront condos so they can all take turns looking at the lake, then the Skydome, then the GO tracks… lovely.
