I'm a type-A personality, so it's especially cruel irony that I ended up with such severe fatigue. It drove me nuts for years. After a LOT of therapy and a LOT of banging my head against a proverbial wall, I finally have (more or less) come to terms with how much I can do in a day. So most days I set myself up with 2-3 things that need to get done. If the depression or the energy situation is particularly bad, sometimes on one thing gets crossed off. But more often than not, I can get 2-3 things done without wiping myself out. It's a great feeling.

And if I have more than three things? I make a list and I take pride in crossing at least 2 things out a day. It's not perfect, but at least I get to see myself making progress.

Today's to-do? Make a list of stuff Tim and I each have to get done (because it's Veteran's Day and most of the places we need to call/visit aren't open); check grocery ads/coupons to plan out this week's grocery shopping; make a cake to satisfy that chocolate craving.

Proud to say they're already done! The cake is cooling off in anticipating of being frosted. I even got some stuff cleared out of the fridge (when you don't set yourself up for a zillion things you SHOULD be doing, sometimes you find extra energy to do something not on the list).

I like 3 things. With my Mary Kay paperwork, we're suppose to make a To Do List ..... actually, 1 Mary Kay related & 1 for personal life ... of 6 things to do that day. I think that's too much! I like the three things better. Simpler!

I dunno if I can limit myself to three things, but I did that yesterday and it worked out well! Usually if I write them down either the day before or that morning, I feel a bit more inspired to get the stuff actually done.

@SS4BC: Thank you! And it really works. You don't feel stressed out or anything once you're done the 3 things. You feel awesome.
