This winter coat hunt has got me thinking about my personal price ceilings for items.
So I just wanted to know how much would you be comfortable paying for:
- A purse?
- A winter jacket?
- A pair of boots?
- A dressy (but not formal) dress?
Mine are (all before tax):
- Purse: $200
- Winter Jacket: $400
- A pair of boots: $300
- A casual but not formal dress: $200
*Of course, everything has an exception, but it depends on the situation. These are my general limits.
I feel as though my limits have gone up over the years ever since I got out of debt.
Now that I am buying less, I am not necessarily spending very much less (in total) than what I did before.
I am just buying in a higher quality, being pickier about my choices and buying for the long-term (at least 10 years).
It isn’t just because I’m out of debt that I am doing this, I think it comes with my move towards minimalism and just.. getting older.
With that being said, I am definitely happier with what I have. I just have to remember to stop making impulse purchases, like buying a cute yellow top just because I saw it on sale for $10.
