Aww.. Thank you! You are really too kind. When I obsess over a blogger, I DO THE SAME THING. I think I must\'ve stalked almost everyone on my blogroll at one point in my life.

I like pretty designs. I\'m sorry if it kills people\'s computers but if I have to work on a blog that is ugly, I\'d sob in a corner. I like seeing pictures and colours and I hope other people feel the same way as well :) Which is why I TRY to think about my blog via people\'s eyes, just to observe and criticize... although it depresses me sometimes.

I am not a writer though. I\'ve never wanted to be a writer, author, or anything to do with words. I really just seem myself as a girl with too many thoughts and a big mouth.

I keep finding old posts of yours that I want to comment on, lol. I found GRS when he was already big and 6 months before he published his book, and I still read it because its still a good blog, yes he does blog about blogging once in a while but its not constant.

Did you read this? Twitter made me hate you.
 <a href="http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2010/07/twitter_made_me_hate_you.html" rel="nofollow">http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2010/07/twitter_made...</a>

This has to do mostly with design, but I hate it when creative looking blogs change to a more corporate design when they get more readers. Its really irritating. Sometimes its worth the upgrade sometimes it isn't, I loved it when Blonde and Balanced updated her blog, and I liked it when you upgraded yours.

I don't find most bloggers interesting, most people aren't writers, and I only read a handful of blogs but only the good ones. Sometimes certain bloggers irritate me because they say "Oh work from home, sell affiliated products, etc., write a useful blog that teaches something." I don't want a blog that teaches anything, I'm not a teacher. If people learn something useful that's a bonus but that's not why I write.

But the thing is blogging and writing can't be all about the readers, you have to love it, and do it for yourself also otherwise you will lose interest. I also think passion is what keeps people going when no one else is around to subscribe to them.

Wow, I feel so much better about my blog now.
Thanks for the reminder that people will read it because they want to, not because I took everyone's advice. Now maybe I can go back to enjoying writing it.

Agreed. I can't STAND those posts and people keep writing them, rehashing the same old crap over and over!

I prefer smaller blogs. Why? because I find a lot of the bigger ones kind of impersonal and soulless, and sometimes a little preachy? I'm not really out there for tips and advice, I just enjoy keeping up with people's lives and journeys.

Someone said something about enjoying being a small blog because otherwise they'd feel pressured and really accountable and I have to agree! I write for me first really, and I'm still sort of working on what I really want my blog to be about, so I'm not fussed about building some great empire here....not yet anyway :P

I'm trying hard to remember this, for sure. I try to go and post genuine comments on posts I find interesting, whether the blogs are in the same genre I am or not. (I have a few that I follow and comment on that are and aren't.) But I do try to be genuine -- I hate the idea of "link farming" or whatever, dunno if it has a real name or something.

For me, I try to write on an uncommon perspective in the world. It's more for entertainment and for me to work on my writing than for stats and stuff. I try not to worry about it so much, but it would be nice to know that someone out there has something to say about what I wrote and such. (And that it's not just floating through cyberspace totally ignored.) I mean, I'm not even on twitter anyways.... I swear I wouldn't have the time for it anyhow. x_x;

@Amanda No. :( I got rid of it. It was taking up too much of my time to constantly download the picture, upload it and link it. If only I could get it to go straight to the page from my brain.

But I'll do longer posts here instead ;)
