September 2009 Budget Set

COMMENTS: Leave me a comment

Umm.. I think lately, my budgeting style has veered towards NOT budgeting at all.

I have money budgeted for fixed expenses, and a general idea of how much food will cost. But everything else is open to spending in any budget or category I feel like spending it in.

I could put $20 into Transportation or $150 into Wardrobe (for my new Birkenstocks).. but what if I end up spending the money somewhere else?

I’m just going to leave it in “Unallocated” and allocate it where it needs to go.

When I run out, I run out. Simple as that.

Inevitable Expenses

  • Rent: $371
  • Food: $200
  • Cellphone: $50.79
  • Laundry: $4
  • Birkenstocks: $150

Total so far: $771.79

Notes

  • Utilities are paid bi-monthly and I paid them in August, so we’re good.
  • BF takes care of the internet & I handle the phone.
  • Transportation is dependent on how often we even go out. It varies from month to month.
