I am playing around with ING’s Compare Me and What’s your Number…
Both, very interesting financial quizzes.
First, I filled out a profile on my age and likes, then I entered in numbers and got these nifty little comparisons:

I just started taking vacations this year, and I tend to spend around $1000/trip or so. Next year may be a $4000 trip.

I used to owe $60,000 in student loans.

I can’t really answer this one. I don’t get a salary.
But after covering basic necessities (under $1000), I usually spend a couple hundred over that. I put $500 to be conservative…

They asked for retirement savings AND regular cash savings. I didn’t put my business in this one.

I just put the market value at $27,000. Book value is higher….

I will be paying my half at $375/month once we move in June.

Looks like cars are a big thing to owe money on.
I put in annual income at $50,000 because I do plan on taking some vacations here and there, and just enjoying life as well as paying for healthcare, and that I will live until 90.

Looks like I need around $2.5 million to retire.. but I have a feeling to really secure, I need about $3 million saved. All in good time.
And this is of course, assuming my house is paid off and my kids aren’t a bunch of spoiled, lazy parasites.
