Envirosax + FB = Love

COMMENTS: Leave me a comment

I think.. I went overboard. *turns pink*

I now own 6 Envirosax bags (two I bought from Whole Foods), and I am in love with all of the patterns I chose. I didn’t mean to, but I chose a single pattern from almost every set of patterns they had out there.

If you are in Montreal, if you go to 209 Ste-Paul at the intersection of Ste-Francis Xavier in Vieux Montreal, you can find a good chunk of the styles at Mortimer Snodgrass, a really cool little gift/eco-friendly shop that is on my list of awesome places to visit.

And it only costs $9 CAD at Mortimer Snodgrass, which.. FOR ONCE, is cheaper than in the States, even with a 20% conversion rate. I bought 2 of them in the States at $8.50 USD each.

I may head back that store and the area just for fun. Old Montreal really picks up in the summer when people finally come out of hibernation from winter, and start enjoying the warm weather.
All about EnvirosaxEnvirosax.com

Lightweight polyester, portable, waterproof, and weighing just 1.4oz each.

With reinforced seams, each surprisingly large bag can hold a weight the equivalent of two supermarket plastic bags.
(And that’s true! I’ve put it to the test)

  • Bag weight 1.4 oz
  • Weight capacity 44 lbs
  • Bag dimensions (unrolled) 19.5” x 16.5”
  • Bag dimensions (rolled-up) 4” x 1.5”
  • Pouch size 9” x 6”

These are the patterns and colours I’ve got

Now I’ll keep 2 in my purse at all times, but carry 4-6 when I go out with BF grocery shopping because we do buy a lot of food, and I don’t want to put everything and squish it all in one bag.

The bags are also long enough to be worn on your shoulder like a purse, so they’re not too tight that you cannot get it up and over your shoulder.

I should note that if you put stuff in it, it tends to sag more to the ground, and at 5’4″, I need to put it on my shoulder so that it doesn’t drag the ground.

BF: Why do you need so many!? How many are you going to buy?
STYLE: Planet Green

(This one is for BF. He is getting sick of girly bags)

STYLE: Mikado

(This one is my favourite! I love the design.)

STYLE: Flora
(The original one I got from Whole Foods)

STYLE: Candy
(This one is very fashionable. 70s Italian designer, fashionable)

STYLE: Botanica
(This bag is actually more greeny-teal than it appears. Not as blue. Looks cuter)
STYLE: Green Grocer
(This just a solid bag. And the colour is just so cute! I got this one in Whole Foods in Chicago too.)

So now I have my eye on these RuMe bags that Ginger has talked about (what?! WHAT? They’re cute.).. they can be purchased from this store called Ecoexistence near St. Clair West Station in Toronto at address 21 Vaughan Road, Toronto, ON.

No locations in Montreal found yet.

And these are the specifications of those RuMe Bags:

• individual bag size 15.5” x 15.5” x 4”
• handles are 11.5” long
• three bags roll up to 6” x 2” x 3”
• each bag holds more than 50lbs*
• solids and patterns sold separately
• water resistant/machine washable
• double stitched seams
• square sides and bottom
• made in a South Korean Fair Trade Factory

Fall in New York
This is the set Ginger got.

My favourite is that last bag on the end — the pinstripe
