Fame whore.

We all know the story of this single mother who had kids to fulfill her selfish dreams without thinking of the consequences

Money? It’s just paper to her, she says.

I’m more interested in the fame whore.

Before and after pics.

Hmm… I wonder if she’s trying to Angelina it up..?

She had cute babies at least.

Are you calling her selfish because she wanted to fulfil her dreams of fame? Or are you causing her selfish because she was single and wanted kids?

Yeah, the babies are cute… I totally noticed the Angelina look-alike thing! What I want to know is where she’s getting all this money. Bullshit she just “worked double shifts.” She totally looks like she’s had plastic surgery, not to mention the crazy expensive IVF treatments! WHERE IS IT COMING FROM???

You’re on to something – she’s acquiring kids at an alarming rate too!

Did you happen to read my blog on the subject? This woman didn’t want 14 kids, she want’s a show on TLC.

I totally thought she was trying to be like angelina the first time I saw a picture of her! Between the lips and the baby collecting there’s not much difference – except one can afford a brood of 14 where the other can’t.

    toshspice: Because she wants fame.

And she has mentioned many times that she wanted kids (and was single), but wanted a LOT of them to fulfill her need for a big family and love from her children.

Not selfish as a singular feeling or emotion per se, but it is if you take everything into account and think about those poor babies not being able to be properly nurtured or taken care of with only 1 single mother, a grandma that bailed on bankruptcy and said she wouldn’t be there when she got home from the hospital and no husband in sight.

    THAT, is selfish.

adriana: She got $300k from mysterious sources… and had disability of $185k over the years.

Anny: Granted, the fact that she put 6 embryos into her body instead of the standard 2, knowing the risk and health implications, was not exactly brilliant.

Then again, she only wanted one more kid, or twins. Not exactly expecting 8 but she thought it turned out perfectly

L.L. I think that’s where I started reading up more on her :)

    Full o’ Debt: Amen.

The woman is a serious nut job. If she was so “disabled” that she couldn’t work, how can she be able enough to take care of 14 children? That’s MORE work than an every day job.

And yes, she IS selfish. What’s she going to do with 14 kids? Start her own baseball team?????

hm she DOES look like she’s trying to emulate angelina jolie

i heard that she has mental problems. i pity the kids…

on an off note, i like how her makeup was done. wonder who her makeup artist was…

    DONT underestimate professional lighting!

It can do a lot! That said, it can’t do that to your lips, and it can’t make you able to afford 14 kids.

I have a feeling this woman is only on minute one of her 15 minutes.

I get what you’re going for here, but I think it’s a little much to compare her picture in the delivery room to a picture where she has makeup on and her hair done. Women always look terrible right after they give birth. I’m not saying she is or is not trying to get something out of this, but I don’t think the change in her appearance should be the sole basis for proof that she’s a fame seeker.

Total nose job and lip injections. According to her, she got $165K worth of disability and saved money out of that to have her fertility treatments…

    1. She totally looks plastic surgerized!
    2. According to the news she gets some of her income from food stamps and some from disability for her and some from disability for her kids because 3 of the older ones are disabled. She doesn’t consider that welfare. Oh, and the hospital is asking Medical(gov’t health care) is paying for the preemies.
    3. You want that many kids, OK (well, not, but that’s another issue), but to have so many that are disabled or likely to be disabled(how many of the preemies will be disabled?), that is just wrong. A real caring parent wants the best for her children, like being a genius or an athlete or strongly spiritual, not a person who has a hard time getting my in society.
    4. How many Medicare eligible kids won’t get the care they need because the resources that would have cared for hundreds, if not thousands, of kids are used up for these 8?
    5. I will stop watching TLC if they give her a show. Even Jerry Springer has more class.
    6. According to the news she admitted in an interview to spending something like $100,000 on fertility treatments.
    7. The fertility doctor in Beverly Hills who helped with this should have his license to practie medicine revoked.

Like I told you on Twitter, she wants to be Nadya + 14 minus a brain.

I feel bad for the kids because how will they all be able to get the attention that they deserve.

Do you know what makes me really really angry about this woman.

She said lasst night that she is going to live off of student loans for a while and that’s how her and her kids will get by until she graduates and gets her degree.

    HOLD UP!

Now, as someone on student loans for legitimate reasons and as a tax payer (Canadian, not U.S., but still) makes me incredibly angry.

It’s people like her that make it difficult for others to get loans; legitimate people who desperately need the loans to afford school and living on their own.

She chose to have 8 kids; 14 in total she made her bed so she needs to lie in it.

She needs to get off her ass, get off of social assistance quit this dream of hers and get to work.

She already had large lips, it looks more like she had a reaction to “plumping” lipstick (happened to me in middle school and HS).

I don’t think it’s wrong (per se) to have kids on your own, or to have them via in vitro. With in vitro, they put in 4-8 at a go. Most don’t “stick” and usually not all that “stick” turn into actual fetuses. There can be multiple empty sacs and even though you are technically pregnant you may not have an actual fetus in there, FYI. They say that if you get unusually big in the first 2 months, that’s a sign that it’s empty sacs or a mole preg. If it’s a mole, they’d have to operate immediately (and abort any other fetus) because of the super-high cancer risk with moles. So I am trying to imagine her going in for her ultrasound and thinking the worst. I honestly cannot hate her really.

Realistically, there was no way (!) that the woman had any idea that she would have 8 babies at once. There’s just no way to make that happen on purpose. And many people are against selective reduction (removing some of the fetuses so that the others have a better chance to survive).

I don’t know if I would call her a fame whore, but I do hope that she has the resources to care for her kids. And I am also happy that she didn’t drag some hapless dude along for the ride.
