10 things to do before 30 Tuesday, September 16, 2008

I know many people have these kinds of lists out, but I thought I'd make my own. I also didn't want to do 30 things because:

A) It'd bore you
B) All the items won't be interesting
C) I would've done most of them already
D) I don't have the patience to write for all 30

Let's just do 10 really good ones, mmmkay?

1. Travel to Asia (Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, Macau, Japan)
I'm already planning this for 2009, but I may not be able to make Japan or one of the chinese cities.

2. Travel to Europe (France, Italy, Portugal, England, Ireland, Spain, Greece)
I'll try and hit all of them on the list - take 2 months to do it but I'd probably end up only going to England and France.

3. Practice yoga on a regular basis
I've already made a note to sign up for classes next week. I really want it to help my shoulders & back to relieve some of the pain I get.

4. Clear my debt
Most of it will be cleared this year - I'm just being careful with my cash flow so that I have a nice buffer.

5. Solidify 5 signature recipes that would blow people's minds when they receive it as a dish
I already have 2, but I need to experiment with a couple of others before I can choose the final ones. So I'm experimenting with my lunches to do this.

6. Learn French to be able to speak it conversationally
Am all over that like white on rice. It's getting easier to do so because I AM in a very French-based city that allows the chance to learn the language easier than if I were in an English province.

7. Have my blog readership hit a solid 1000
I can't really force this one, but I do plan on blogging for a long time unless something drastic changes. I also recognize that not everyone RSS feeds this blog, so my count may be off and I am still a n00b at using Feedburner.

8. Go scuba diving
I've always wanted to. And I hear it feels like you're flying under water. I'd LOVE that. And it's beautiful, peaceful and calm.

9. Get my driver's license & a car
Yeahhhh.... I'm working on this one. I'll get it within the next 2 years, pinky swear. Things have just been hectic lately (not an excuse), but I want to get my license in the best, easiest way possible with the least amount of money. LOL.

10. Have a net worth of $50,000
This would be nice. To hit a net worth of $50,000 and finally feel secure that I have a solid buffer to really help if anything bad happens.

What are yours?

12 Leave me some love...:

Wow, I don't think I can manage ten, but let me try:

1. Actually get a job/career I love. Being a PA is all well and good, but I know I can do more!

2. Find a man who I can manage to spend the rest of my life with.

Hmm. Actually, that's about it at the moment! Haha!

Since I have less than two years before 30, my list is very short. It probably includes going on one big trip to Europe since I've not been and settling down in one apartment. I've moved about 10 times in the past five years and I'd like to stay put for a while.

That is quite a list! I am also a blogger and would love to see my readership hit 1000.

A tip for good tracking, I use Google Analytics and Feedburner to track viewers. If you combine the average daily unique viewers with the RSS number, you have an aproximation. (E-mail me if you have feedburner questions, I have been using it for well over a year)

Wow that's a really good list. I'm going to try to make my own soon! How much longer you got until the big 3-0?

I agree with #6 - You're so lucky to be able to speak it day-to-day. I feel like it's slowly trickling out of my brain while I sleep sometimes....

I've actually never thought about mine, since I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up...but I do have to say, going to Asia will change your life, I love love LOVE Japan and have been there twice, and China is a good place to see, although it's not my favorite.

Singapore is amazing. You'll love it there :)

awesome goals - haven't quite decided on mine, i think cutting my cc debt in half is one, and hopefully on my way to buying a house and moving back home closer to my family. Hopefully i have a job i'm happy with in a career i love - right now I have neither of those things so anything from here on out is progress.

Warning! Warning! I'm probably going to post something similar on my blog now but we seem to have a lot of the same goals... hmm.

Good list!

Some of mine are similar to yours: practicing yoga on daily basis and achieve a readership of at least 1000. Some other ones I would have to say is owning a house or condo and to be able to maintain it. Also, to gain more insight into myself and exactly what I want out of life. I'm still kinda young and very confused about life!

1. Continue to get my debt down

3. Start to really learn spanish not just enough to get by

I can't imagine life without my babies or driving... That would suck all the remaining joy out of my days at this point. :/ I'd do anything for my darling girls! (And they are totally worth the cost... Plus it's great to watch people's jaws hit the floor when they find out we have two paid off sports cars. Priceless!)

mm a good list! how do you get around if you don't know how to drive? over here- it's pretty much car based and a lot of people get their license asap! haha
