Fabulously Broke in the City

Hello my name is FB and I may be a Polyvore addict….

I’m a Polyvore newbie, so they aren’t as cool or as sexy as some others I’ve been posting about or seeing on the web, but I’m going to practice, I promise!

My first Polyvore. And probably my favourite. I built it around that deep inky purple J. Crew dress, and thought the yellow bag contrasted nicely. With a long delicate dangling necklace, it sets it off nicely, and adds a good punch with that cocktail ring.

Summer in the City. Built kind of around the dress & shoes. Simple mesh ring, sweet woven hat and clutch.

I really loved the skirt with that top, and the big flower ring is the only major accessory other than the red shoes. Keeping it casual with a straw tote rather than a clutch or something fancier.

Something more free and summery for going out to eat or for drinks with friends. The yellow shoes picks up the yellow in the top and I love those gingko earrings!

I dunno. I really like the dress by itself with just the shoes for some interest, and the abalone earrings to tie in the colour scheme. No need for any other ornaments on the arm or anywhere else.

Was inspired by the dress, then the shoes just seemed to fit perfectly. Thought it’d look great with red parasol and a YSL gold cuff against the cobblestones of Paris while eating a cupcake ;)

polyvore is a wonderful website. I wrote about it to my blog before. Your works are pretty good by the way. To make good collage works, you have to be patient, I guess. I could never make good works but I know that the site is addictive. Good luck with it =)

I’ve never heard of that site before, but now I’ve gotta check it out. :) Awesome stuff, I think reading your blog is turning me into a big clothes whore though… ;) Ah well, as long as I can afford myself, right? :P

The summer tunic top, white pants, and yellow shoes are so similar to my style this summer. It’s such a comfortable way to go.

You have really excellent taste. Fearless use of colour, but still wearable.

I don’t say this lightly, but it’s really clear here in your own mash-ups.

Huh… I’m gonna start taking notes!

FB thanks for putting me on to Polyvore. I’ve wanted to do the collages that the site lets you create, but always assumed that I needed some advanced training on PhotoShop or some program like that. You keep me informed!
