I haven’t been to a bar or a club in about… 6 years now (no real interest in going out and getting my eardrums busted, or beer spilled on me, or my toes stepped on, or sweaty sleazy guys trying to dance around me and my friends to “pick up”.. you get the picture).
At any rate, are these pictures for real!?! Do girls actually wear this? I always thought less was more.. as in “less revealing” is more. These girls (unfortunately) have too much makeup on, look quite… um… available, and not sexy at all (in my opinion, if I were to pick one of them to date). Definitely not someone I’d want to be with for longer than about 5 minutes (maybe 15 minutes 
) and definitely not someone I’d want to marry, or bring home to meet my family.
Open letter:
Ladies you don’t need to show it all off!! Sure, less skin gets you more attention at the clubs and bars, but it’s probably the wrong kind of attention because not only are you getting negative (low self esteem) sort of attention, it’s also from the wrong guys.
I’m not saying “Oh, you have to dress up like a nun, and button it up to your ears, and make sure you only wear super long skirts”, but a little bit more coverage (I think) is sexier.
To me, my favourite outfit is the one I’m most comfortable in, without having to worry if I’m showing something inappropriate to strangers. Black tank top or t-shirt, bright accessories, jeans, and flip flops with sunglasses. Comfortable, and with that, comes confidence that you don’t look like you’re trying too hard, desperate, or all of the above. There’s no need to shop in the Juniors department, ladies!
And the makeup.. oy vey. The makeup is way too heavy…. You girls are pretty. Full stop. You really are. But not with what you’re wearing or what you have on your face.
This brings Amy Winehouse’s song “F*ck me pumps” to mind…
That song pretty sums up what I’m thinking right now. And the video is nice. Winehouse doesn’t look horribly skinny, drugged out or disgusting the way she does right now. Poor woman…
